Price List

The current price list for Uppsala Biobank's services and facilities has been established by the Biobank Council and is valid until further notice.

Prices are based on cost and are stated excluding VAT. Uppsala Biobank reserves the right to change the price list and service conditions following decisions by the Biobank Council.

Collection through healthcare-integrated biobanking

Price for deposit:

• SEK 50/primary tube (includes 5 years of storage costs)
• SEK 125/tube for aliquoted samples (includes 5 years of storage costs)
• SEK 60 for feces sample

Invoicing occurs regularly every three months.

Sample retrieval

The cost for retrieval is invoiced at an hourly rate of SEK 650.

The price applies to projects collecting samples through healthcare-integrated biobanking. Others will be invoiced according to agreements with the collecting project and Uppsala Biobank.

For retrieval of samples stored for more than five years, in addition to the related working hours, the unpaid storage time may also be invoiced.

Storage of boxes

Storage of boxes is invoiced annually at a rate of SEK 200 per box and year. For non-academic researchers, there is an additional start-up cost of SEK 5,000 and an administrative cost of SEK 5,000/year.

The price includes two (2) deposits or collections per year. Additional requests for deposits or collections will be charged at a rate of SEK 1,000 plus SEK 650 per hour (or part thereof), i.e., starting from SEK 1,650.

Freezer rental

Rent for freezer space: SEK 16,500/year for research freezers, SEK 22,000/year for non-research freezers.

Rental is invoiced annually in September.
